PM consulting

Projects drive the company forward and give it a future, but even the most experienced organisations can encounter errors that jeopardize the success of projects, such as cost and time overruns, or subpar product deliveries. According to the American Project Management Institute, one of the world\'s largest project management organisations, issues arise in approximately half of all projects. PM consulting assists in the most precise and objective identification of areas for development and problematic issues.

For whom do we recommend PM consulting?

We recommed PM consulting for companies equipped with project management frameworks. Yet despite adhering to established methodologies and managing multiple projects, these companies may encounter insufficient success rates. Consequently, internal conflicts and disputes arise. They grapple with identifying the root causes behind process breakdowns and the failure to integrate subprocesses into a wholly functional system. Common pitfalls include unclear delineation of responsibilities and roles, deficient planning, resource misallocation, and a lack of equilibrium among authority, accountability, and task delegation. Yet, identifying these problematic areas from within proves challenging.

Results of PM consulting

The core of AGORA’s PM consulting relies on a meticulously crafted survey, comprising 1000 points, developed with great care based on international standards and our own experiences. This survey examines 9 key areas to assess the effectiveness of various crucial aspects during project execution. These areas include: quality of leadership, goal establishment, personnel, collaboration and resources, process management, satisfaction of external customers, satisfaction of internal customers, satisfaction of other stakeholders, and achievement of primary project objectives. Through the involvement of experienced and impartial external consultants, the organisation gains a clear understanding of its challenges. By quantifying these challenges on paper, the organisation can visually pinpoint areas requiring improvement. Identifying areas in need of development allows for targeted enhancements, ultimately leading to a significantly more successful organisation.

Themes and process of the programme

01

The consulting process starts with interviewing a senior leader, during which the client identifies individuals to be included in the survey, thus specifying whose opinions will be collected through interviews or questionnaires.

02

Selecting a sample project for examination allows us to assess the organisational know-how, as well as the method and effectiveness of project execution.

03

Based on the collected interviews or questionnaires, workshop sessions are conducted to evaluate the responses, create statistics, prioritize specific issues, and summarize findings.

04

We thoroughly consider the weighted results, and based on the received responses, the consultant prepares a detailed report. This report outlines observations drawn from the data, highlights the most crucial areas for improvement, and proposes a recommended sequence for addressing individual issues.

05

The client, the leader receive a seperate briefing on the findings, and the consultant asks for their feedback and validation on the detailed observations.

06

The purpose of the 1-2 hour presentation is to provide participants with an in-depth overview of the survey results, with particular emphasis on organisational needs.
